Shannon Cooper-Toma, Co-President, is currently the principal of an exceptional early childhood building in Corunna, Michigan. She has worked as a teacher and principal for more than sixteen years. Shannon is committed to bettering the lives of all her students. She holds multiple education degrees from Michigan State University and Saginaw Valley State University. Throughout her career, Shannon has served on numerous educational committees and has presented at the Bureau of Educational Research.
Shannon and her husband, Rod, were born and raised in Michigan. When asked about living in the great state of Michigan, Shannon shared, “I am so proud to call Michigan home. We have some of the hardest working, loyal, and passionate citizens living in our state.” Shannon resides in Owosso, Michigan, with Rod and their adorable Chihuahua named Rocko. Tracy Foster, Co-President, is Corunna Public Schools’ 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year, has more than eighteen years experience teaching elementary and middle school children. She holds multiple degrees in education from Western Michigan University and Saginaw Valley State University. Tracy’s passion is instilling confidence in her students to be the best they can be and to present constant opportunities for them to DREAM BIG. One of her goals is to provide memories and experiences that will allow her to be “the teacher her students and families always remember.”

Shantel Reiber, Treasurer, is a Secondary teacher, certified in both English and Spanish. She graduated from Chesaning Union High School in 2000. She attended Saginaw Valley State University following graduation, where she earned her undergraduate degree in K-12 Spanish Education and 6-12 English Education in 2005. Shantel later obtained a Master’s degree in Education from Saginaw Valley State University in 2009. She has served the children of Michigan as a Middle and High School Spanish and English teacher for the past 11 years. Shantel has a passion for language education and helping children to reach their full potential.
Shantel grew up in Chesaning, MI but currently lives in Montrose, MI. She is a wife to Drew and a mom to two amazing and active little boys, Andrew and Blake. She enjoys reading, photography, exercise, and spending time with her family. She feels so fortunate to be leading a life in which she is able to serve others, which is truly a passion of hers.
Kim Phillips, Secretary, has been in the field of education for 16 years. She spent 3 years working at a pre-school with our youngest learners and has spent the last 13 years working with students at the elementary level. Her passion is working with children and making a difference in their lives. Kim’s goal is to be a positive role model for all students and wants to ensure each child leaves school with positive memories when students reflect on their educational years. Kim wants them to feel loved, to feel safe, and to always love learning.
